Supporting The Industry.

WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) has been busy adapting the needs of its students to accommodate difficulties surrounding the COVID-19 crisis. They’ve announced an eBook launch, making all WSET textbooks and study guides over the 2020-21 academic year available in eBook format.

Additionally, as part of their ongoing initiative to support the industry, they are partnering with WIRSPA (West Indies Rum & Spirits Producers’ Association), to provide Caribbean hospitality professionals with training opportunities.

WIRSPA – which represents distillers’ associations across the Caribbean, has come together with WSET to offer at least 200 Level 1 Award in Spirits online courses to Caribbean hospitality professionals. This will give them the opportunity to increase their industry knowledge and skills while they are unable to work.

Ian Harris, WSET CEO, also took part in the Diversity in Wine and Spirits’ and SommCon’s live webinar – Unheard Voices in Wine; Part 2 – Be The Change. This follows on from Part 1 which considers diversity in the wine industry, and how you can create a more diverse and inclusive environment.
